2:31 pm - Shoooooes!
I am shoeeee shopping online, because I never ever buy online and want to carefully select 1-3 pairs of shoes that won't blow my budget before walking into a store. Realized I need to buy shoes when I saw the wear on the bottom of my sneakers is up to the mid-line of the soles. Oops. & my cute black flats look... very worn.

What do you think about these:

or in red:

or... tweed?

So cheap! These are almost definitely on the list if the store has ones that fit me. Heels are just as necessary to meetings as schedules and budgets for me.

Macy's has lots of Ed Hardy sneakers for $30. Would that be bad?

Finished my veggie soup and made tuna fish salad.
Took http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Tuna-Fish-Salad/Detail.aspx and fidgeted with it:

3 6oz cans tuna (lower sodium)
~2tbsp parsley
3/4 cup or more of chopped celery
1/2 cup mayo
~3 tsp lemon juice
3/4 tsp garlic powder
pepper to taste
paprika to taste

Basically, I took the original recipe & tripled it, got low-sodium tuna, added more celery, cut the mayo by a third, upped the lemon juice, skipped the onion and salt, and put in lots of pepper and paprika to give it tang.
I also cut up carrot sticks and threw em in the fridge. I'm gonna use the leftover tortillas to make tuna fish salad wraps... mmmmm.

Per my shrink, I'm working on trading ed-related communities for healthier ones... going along with this, I'm dropping friends with ed-related journals, esp. ones I don't really know. Comment if you want back in.

9:10 pm - Delicious baked ziti/pasta
Altered half-recipe for a deep square pan:

1/3 onion chopped
1lb hot italian sausage
1 jar Sockaronni (Newman's Own) tomato sauce
6 slices provolone
Small container of sour cream
6oz shredded mozzarella
Grated parmesan
3/4 box pasta

Boil pasta for about 8mins, to al dente.

Brown onion and sausage in a skillet.

Simmer a jar of sauce with onion and sausage added.

Spray pan with Pam. Add half the pasta and half the sauce & mix. Cover with provolone slices, spread a layer of sour cream over the slices.
Add the remaining pasta to the sauce, mix, and pour gently over the sour cream. Sprinkle top with mozzarella and parmesan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30mins, until the cheese has started browning. Switch oven to broil for a few minutes, until the cheese is browned.

Great stuff to add: garlic salt, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, red pepper, basil, oregano, fennel, mushrooms, bell peppers (red or green), tomatoes, etc etc.

NOOOOOOOO

found out today that the wonderful LITTLE chicken-lettuce-tomato sammiches I've been eating (think patties like the $1 mcdonalds hamburgers) are 600CALS and OVER 50% of daily recommended fat!!
ugh
my school's caf- Sodexho run- serves them and they're the cheapest thing i can get there to fill me up, only $2.30. I was going to start buying the salads they serve (they cost just under $6.00!!) but checked them out and they're 800-1000cals.
well, at least now I know to stear clear of them.

16oz glass of icewater burns 17.5cals
protien-based food will "elicit a thermic effect that is close to 30 percent of the total calories itself"
ginger, cloves, dry mustard- thermogenic effect (thus raises metabolism)
1/4tsp to 1tsp cinnamon can raise metabolism ?20fold?
gum chewing burns 11cals/hr

128lbs!
Even with the pizza yesturday!

*happy*

however, definatly got an allergic reaction to something, and the meds I took for it (haven't taken them in forever) knock me the hell out, meaning I 1) didn't finish my paper and 2) missed class.
So today I WILL finish this paper, not watch any tv, lose weight, and spend 15mins min. organizing.
